One Quick Noahism

I walked into the living RM this evening to see Noah lifting Lexie up and on our her way over her chair. I quickly run in and yell 'Noah - stop!' seeing the red flags all over this one.

He turns to me after stopping and says so innocently, 'But Mom, Lexie just wanted to fly!'.

Yeah right Noah, she can't even really talk and she was able to let you know that she wanted to fly? Hmmm....try again.

Will keep a VERY close eye on Noah in the future and his flying endeavors, esp where his other siblings are concerned!

16 Weeks & Counting

I am officially 16 weeks pregnant as of yesterday. Being pregnant with 4th baby has never gone so quickly I feel so I hope that trend continues into the last few months! You can definitely pray for me in those last few months (all of June & July) and / or take the boys and the Lexie off my hands during those hottest summer days. No part of me will want to be outside in the heat when my own internal heater is getting hotter all the time.

So far Josiah feels that I have 9 girls and 10 boys in my belly and Noah doesn't think anything about what's in MY belly only now that the 2 tigers he had have grown to 3 tigers that he is going to have. Lexie has not a clue, but in for quite a surprise come birth day. She is all about her Mama right now.

Due date is July 22nd, but not hoping for any arrival (without inducing) until August. August 1st is my guess, girl is my 2nd guess. Name is Kora if girl, but no middle name yet.

So there you have it, a few more details of changes to come in Finkler family life :).

Quick Finance Info

OK so here are some quick things to share -

1) The cash for clunkers sort of appliance bred program is here. You can receive up to $150 towards any new energy saving appliance that qualifies in this program. Similar to the cash for clunkers so I would imagine lots of red tape and documents to get it through but still, if you have an older inefficient appliance you might want to look into this program! And if Larry and I end up going this route with the broken down old appliances that we have stashed in places I don't even know, then we will let you know how it all worked out.

2) Credit Reports - due to pulling our own recently and then looking through a friend's issues as well, things have definitely changed. One simple thing to change / look for, if you were ever an authorized user on another person's account (most likely if you were on your parent's credit card at some point of time) this is now going to pop up on your credit history. Here is how it affects you - it will not impact your score but in the event that you would go to qualify for a loan, the lender would hit you for the min pmt due on this tradeline. So it would negatively affect your debt to income ratio which is one of the measures the lender uses to qualify you. In other words, call in and get yourself taken off as an authorized user.

Ok that's it for finance updates at this point!

You can always let me know if you have any further questions on this...

The blur of January & February...

Very little posts coming in January & February from the Finkler's (unless Larry somehow manages to take over blogging?!) - reason being that is my VERY busy season at work. Closing the books at year end for the Marina on my own is always a feat in it of itself - esp the more docks we add, the more we grow, etc. and in addition to that, the double whammy is preparing for a financial audit as well.
I seem to think every year it gets better and it does, but truth is that it started from a very rough place to begin with. I'm confident every year will get better though, have to hold on to some hope out there!
So life around the Finkler house in Jan & Feb is full of 'Mom' closeting herself in our office. The children fare well enough, but the little one growing in my belly sure doesn't like late hours in the office. She would much rather be sending her Mommy to sleep around 9PM every night. Happily I would go but procrastination is never a good choice...
Come the end of Feb, beg of Mar, we do intend on taking a family vacation. Most likely to a water park in the Dells - another reqiurement of the 'spot' is that it must have a nice spa as well. Any recommendations, please let us know.
OK that's it for now. Back to work I go!!!

Lexie @ 15 Months

Another successful rest time for Josiah, not so much for Lexie!

No she was not going outside anytime soon but had to complete the look :).

Bedtime Fun

Children all bathed and put away in bed by 7.30 this evening - but alas, as always happens, I hear the scurrying of feet upstairs on the hardwood floors. And as usual, the culprit is Noah. This time he comes out of the bathRM with toothpaste smeared all over his face. I ask him just what he was doing (as if the evidence was not obvious enough itself) AND the answer is, "I was looking for Josiah's sticker." Hmmm...good try but I just didn't buy it.

Back to bed we go - again.

Noah is forever and always trying to get out of bed. For several months it seemed he always had to go to the bathRM just one more time after we just had him on the toilet.

And another one of his latest excuses is that his bed is so sleepy that he just can't stay there...?!

Sometimes I'm just laughing so hard at his antics it is so difficult to discipline him and I'm reminded of just how fun it is to have the privilege of parenting this child. :)

Sledding Excursion @ PETS

We recently went sledding up to Pets, the big hill, for the first time that the boys could remember this past Wed. Larry was off from work so we packed up the whole family along with my sister's family as well and headed off to our adventure. There is nothing quite like getting outdoors in the snow to tire these boys out (and the little girl as well...)!

Uncle Gary getting the boys prepped.

Karen pulling the boys.

Sledding together on the tobaggon!

Wondering where everyone is at!
(we are waiting at the bottom of the hill)

Lexie completely crashed out tired from her first sledding trip.
